We are often hitting the headlines for the awards we have won or been shortlisted for and so we feel confident when classing ourselves as a multi award-winning agent.
We’re are very proud to say that our MD Amy Wray, was shortlisted for a Sue Ryder Women of Achievement award this year!
The accolades reward women who have excelled within a variety of fields, such as business, education, sport, technology, science and art. Amy was nominated for the ‘Women of Achievement in Business’ award, which acknowledges ladies who have started their own firms and, subsequently, achieved great things. But not only that, the individual honoured must have also overcome obstacles on their road to success.
The awards which turned 31 this year took place on Friday the 12th May at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Raising funds for the Sue Ryder charity. When we asked Amy how she felt about being shortlisted, she commented: “I was over the moon to be put forward for such a great award! It’s taken a lot of hard graft, dedication and late nights to get Applegate Properties to where it is today. But that’s not just mine – my team’s too!"
The Sue Ryder Awards are run by the hospices of the same namesake. Sue – a Yorkshire woman – was a figure of the 20th century who dedicated her life to relieving women of fear, worry and suffering. Her legacy now lives on through the work of Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice and the 12 other care centres across the UK.
