Hacks for a less hectic home life

Hacks for a less hectic home life

22nd Jun, 2018

Going home to a relaxing peaceful house after a long day is something we all want. Just like we would prefer to leave our property without feeling like we have left behind a world of chaos and drama.

There is never going to be a magic wand you can wave to make your life easy, but a few simple tweaks around your property can really make a lot of difference…

Storage solutions

Make storage your best friend! You don’t have to be a neat freak, but if you give everything around your home a place to live you will create a neater and less cluttered environment to live in.

To help keep your mess levels in check, it is a good idea to be mindful when you next purchase something – do you really need it? Having regular charity shop bag drop offs or a car boot sale are also great ways to clear out old items and help keep on top of things.

This may seem like an over the top thing to do, but how many times have you bought something that you know you already have somewhere at home, but simply can’t find? Ordering and labelling – a big white sticker, or a more discrete tag inside a drawer – will create a new sense of stress-free order to your home.

Group items together – like travel products and stationery – so that they are all in one convenient place. This may be an obvious thing to do for some people, but most of us are guilty of simply throwing everything into one drawer in the hope that we’ll remember where it is, and be able to find it at a later date.

Frequently misplaced spot

If you’re someone that feels as if they are always rushing around at the last minute, rummaging for missing keys can be the last thing you need. A great solution for this would be to create a dedicated place – a ceramic dish, a shelf or some hooks – where you can keep all of your essential items for everyday life.

Health-enhancing products

Investing in some incense to dot around your home may seem insignificant, but these aromas can really make you feel relaxed, calm and happy in your space. Plants can also promote a healthier indoor air quality, as well as make your rooms look more beautiful.

A bigger purchase that you may want to consider is a new mattress. They don’t come cheap, but they can really make a difference to your life and wellbeing – after all, a good quality night’s sleep is so important!

We hope that these tips will help you to lead a more stress-free life at home. Some of these things may seem like laborious tasks, but they will really make a difference – we promise!
