Katrina Cliffe chose to let her home with Applegate Properties. Here we quiz her to find out a little bit more about her experience with us...

1.Describe your home:

My property is a two bedroom back-to-back terrace, located in Oakes. I bought it when I was 18 as my first home and it has now become a rental property.


2.How did you find out about Applegate Properties?

I heard about Amy and Applegate a few years ago through business networks.


3.How would you rate the team in terms of:

a.    Value for money – 10/10

b.    Level of customer service – 10/10 (they went above and beyond, and far exceeded other agents we have used in the past.)

c.   Level of knowledge – 10/10       

d.   Professionalism – 10/10

e.   Speed – 10/10


4.In how many days or weeks did they sell your home?

It took a couple of months to initially let the property, and unfortunately the tenant backed out at the last minute. Despite this, Applegate was quick to remarket the property, and lined up more showings with new and previous viewers. We were constantly kept informed about these and overall, they managed to arrange more viewings in less time than the previous letting agent!


5.Do you think they compare to other estate agents, or do they stand out? If so, why?

After our previous experience with agents, Applegate has shown us how an estate agent should work. We have been informed of procedures and reassured that our tenant has been assessed, that the deposit is where it should be, and that all legal compliance and documentation is in order.

The team’s communication levels are outstanding – we were informed via text message, email and phone calls about every viewing, keeping us up to date on everything. The staff were professional, courteous and understanding at all times.


6.Is there a specific team member that deserves a special mention? If so, why?

Laura Townson – she was assigned to deal to our property and was great throughout the whole process. Knowing we had Laura as a dedicated point of contact made it much less stressful, as we knew who to speak with if we had any queries, which we have never experienced with previous letting agents.
