Here at Applegate Properties, we pride ourselves on being a traditional estate agency with a ‘modern’ twist – achieved thanks to our amazing team. Each month, we want to shine the spotlight on a different member of staff, to find out a little bit more about what makes them tick!

First up it’s Rebecca Stead, our business support administrator...

Describe your role in less than 100 words:

I work alongside both the sales and lettings team, to help them in getting everything we need to put properties on the market. I also support our MD, Amy, in an assistant-style role.

How long have you worked at Applegate Properties?

Two years!

What’s your favourite part of your role?

Selecting the photos to use for the property listing – I love looking at pictures of people’s homes.

What one word would your colleagues use to describe you?

Organised!

Which three words would you use to describe Applegate?

Friendly, efficient and approachable.

Why does Applegate stand out from its competitors?

We really focus on communication, which is a simple thing a lot of estate agencies forget about. We make sure we keep vendors, buyers and landlords updated every step of the way.

If you could sell one celebrity home, whose would it be and why?

Anyone who lives somewhere sunny – and I’ll volunteer to do the viewings!

Do you have a favourite property which has been sold, since working at Applegate?

There’s been too many to choose from, but I always tend to like the little cottages full of character.

What’s your top tip for selling/letting a home?

Keep things uncluttered and tidy. It’s surprising how many people find it hard to sell their homes when they have things everywhere, making mess.

Tell us your favourite spot to visit in Holmfirth:

It’s a little bit out of Holmfirth, but I like the Summer Wine brewery in Honley. And it’s dog-friendly, which is a bonus!
