If you want to live on Kirklees most expensive road then be prepared to pay out more than £600,000.
This week, the Huddersfield Examiner announced the most expensive and least expensive streets in 2015 in Kirklees and Calderdale and how much you’ll have to pay to live on these streets.
The most expensive road in Kirklees was Binns Lane in Holmfirth, where property prices average £635,000. The least expensive road in Kirklees was Batley Road in Heckmondwike, where property prices average £50,300.
Figures show that there were 1,352 streets across England and Wales where the average price of property was £1m or above, down from 1,411 streets in 2014.
The most expensive street in England and Wales in 2014, was located in Belgravia, where the townhouses go for an average of £9.9m. For the second year running, the least expensive street in England and Wales was located in Sunderland, where flats sold for an average of £16,500 in 2015, up from £14,050 in 2014.
All figures are based on data from the Land Registry, which lists the price paid for every property bought at market value by non-commercial buyers.
Averages for each road are based on the mean of all sale prices in 2014. Streets with fewer than three sales are excluded.
