Things to do in and around Ho Ho Holmfirth this Christmas!

13th Dec, 2018

Holmfirth is the home to our estate and letting agent and – without being biased – it is a beautiful place with tonnes to do around the festive period!

And with less than two weeks to go until Santa Claus arrives, we thought now would be the ideal time to take a look at what’s coming up in the area.

So for those of you who aren’t that familiar with the town, or if you’re looking for something fun to do to get you in the Christmas spirit, take a look at what’s in store…

Kirklees Concert Season: Brass Band Spectacular – this will be just as amazing as it sounds, and what better way to get into the festivities than to go see a wonderful brass band!

Aladdin and his magical carpet have flown to the Lawrence Batley Theatre, just in time to spread some cheer. The show continues into the new year – until 6th January – so you have plenty of time to head down and see it for yourself.

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a visit to see Santa Claus himself and his reindeers. Head to Totties Garden Centre to stroll through the magical grotto, meet his little helpers and sit on his sleigh to choose a present!

And, we can’t possibly forget about FOOD. At this time of year everyone loves to indulge and eat something amazing. In addition to the usual popular restaurants – like Mezze, Whippet and Pickle and The Black Cat Bistro – having their festive menus ready and available, there are some extra treats on offer from these fooderies…

Totties Garden Centre is offering a Winter Wonderland afternoon tea – what could be more magical?

On the 12th day of Christmas Wastersedge Café gave to me… a Christmas hamper! From the 11/12-22/12 this eatery on Waters Road has a special offer on every day for its customers, so don’t miss out!

As you can see there is so much to do, and if you’re still on the lookout for some gifts why not visit some of the gorgeous shops in Holmfirth, such as Imagine, Occasions, Purple Apricot and The Chocolate Box.

So if you’re stuck for something to do, head down to Holmfirth at this most wonderful time of the year!
